Diary and Photos

In the garden, the Rambling Rector rose is a mass of flowers and the Philadelphus (mock orange blossom) is out and filling the garden with a wonderful scent on the warm air.

Back at Le Bosquet, it is a lovely time of year to find a quiet spot in the shade to enjoy a drink while reading a book.

All year round there are flowers in the village and by early June the roses are putting on a show together with geraniums and many bedding plants.

SUMMER

In the countryside the haymaking is well under way and the first cornfields are already turning golden.

By the second weekend in June, like hearing the first cuckoo of spring, the first water skier has been spotted on the nearby lake, so summer must have arrived.
